## Summary

The best Chaser alternatives are Paidnice, Upflow, Kolleno, ezyCollect, Satago and Credit Hound, split by ledger and revenue band. Paidnice fits Xero and QuickBooks Online businesses up to $50m a year, Upflow analytics-led mid-market teams, and Kolleno enterprise groups on NetSuite or SAP. Chaser itself starts at £199 a month, priced on annual revenue.

- **Paidnice:** Best for Xero and QuickBooks Online businesses of any size up to $50m a year, from $69 a month (£49), priced by invoice volume with no per-seat fees.
- **Upflow:** Best for analytics-led mid-market finance teams; price on request, with Starter listed at $333 a month in its pricing page data.
- **Kolleno:** Best for enterprise cash application on NetSuite or SAP, from $650 per user a month.
- **Satago:** Best for small UK businesses that also want invoice finance, from £45 a month.

## Why do businesses look for a Chaser alternative?

Businesses look for a Chaser alternative for three reasons: Chaser's entry price moved to £199 a month by turnover band, the Compact plan caps users at four, and late fees run on one global rule rather than a policy per customer group.

**The price moved, and the metric moved with it.** Chaser used to price on invoice volume, at $49, $129 and $369 a month. It now prices on company revenue: Compact at £199 a month covers turnover to £4m, Core at £599 covers £10m, and Complete at £899 goes higher.

Cross a revenue line without changing how you use the product and the bill jumps. That mismatch between price and usage is the most common trigger for shopping around.

Every tier, the Care bundles and annual costs at £2m, £8m and £20m turnover are in [Chaser pricing and alternatives](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/chaser-pricing-alternatives).

**Entry plans cap users.** Compact allows four users, 30 templates and four schedules. Involving your accountant or a junior means an upgrade or a per-user add-on.

**Late fees run on one global rule.** Chaser does apply late fees, with four calculation types including the Bank of England base rate. The constraint is that it is one global rule: the same fee logic applies to every customer, so you cannot run a firm policy for SME accounts and a softer one for enterprise. Statements are monthly only, on a fixed day of the month.

What Chaser keeps is bureau credit checking and monitoring in the same tool as the chasing, which runs on email, SMS, posted letters and automated calls. If bureau data on your debtors is the main need and a Custom plan is out of budget, it stays a fair choice.

## How we ranked these Chaser alternatives

Each criterion below is a column, or a group of columns, in the comparison table above. The five weights add up to 100%.

- **Price (20%):** the entry price a month, from each vendor's own pricing page.
- **Ledger and size fit (25%):** the accounting systems each tool connects to natively and the revenue or invoice volume its plans are built for, from each vendor's integration and plan pages.
- **Late fees and interest (20%):** whether the tool applies the fee and interest itself, per customer group or by one global rule, from each vendor's help docs.
- **Statements, payment plans, portal and credit checks (20%):** from each vendor's help docs and product pages. We count shipped features only, not beta ones.
- **Reviews (15%):** ratings with the review count, from the Xero App Store or G2 as the table shows.

Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, and a price a vendor hides is given as last reported, with the year. Features come from vendor help docs. Prices change, so verify before you buy. Ratings: [Paidnice](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/paidnice/reviews), [Chaser](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/chaser/reviews), [ezyCollect](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/ezycollect/reviews) and [Satago](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/satago/reviews) on the Xero App Store; [Upflow](https://www.g2.com/products/upflow-upflow/reviews) and [Kolleno](https://www.g2.com/products/kolleno/reviews) on G2. Credit Hound publishes none.

Paidnice is our product. Every entry, Paidnice included, lists its limit. The weights are our editorial judgment.

## 1. Paidnice, best for Xero or QuickBooks

Paidnice is the Chaser alternative for any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online up to $50m a year, starting at $69 a month (£49) with automated late fees, interest and payment plans posted straight to the ledger.

![Paidnice homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/paidnice-home.webp)
Fitsany business on Xero or QuickBooks Online, from its first invoice up to $50m a year or 50,000 invoices a year, with or without a credit controllerRegionsstrongest where Xero is strong (UK, Australia, New Zealand), plus the US, Canada and South AfricaEntry cost$69/mo (£49), 150 invoices; Pro from $99/mo (£74). Where Chaser applies one global fee rule, Paidnice runs a different policy per customer group, so a firm sequence for SME accounts and a softer one for enterprise can run side by side. Statements go out on any schedule you choose, including consolidated parent accounts, rather than monthly on a fixed day.

Statement interest recalculates at the moment the statement sends, so the figure your customer opens is accurate that morning. Customers see half as many late invoices in the first 30 days.

> *"Paidnice saves us untold hours of manually tracking, emailing and invoicing for late payments. Automating the process has us at 99% on-time payments."* Liam K., Capterra, 2025

**Best suited for:** any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online, from its first invoice up to $50m a year or 50,000 invoices a year, with or without a credit controller.

**The limit:** No bureau credit monitoring on Essentials or Pro, which is what Chaser does best. Paidnice runs native credit checks from each customer's payment behavior on every plan, plus Creditsafe bureau checks through the API on the Custom plan. Built for Xero and QuickBooks Online only, and configuring many customer groups takes setup time.

## 2. Upflow, best for analytics-led finance teams

Upflow is collections analytics software for mid-market finance teams that manage by metric, priced on request across five tiers by gross invoice value, with Starter listed at $333 a month in its page data.

![Upflow homepage showing the headline AI-powered AR insights for stronger financial relationships, beside a DSO card, a payment prediction and an autopay chat](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/competitors/upflow-home.webp)

If you left Chaser because you could not see what was working, Upflow answers that directly. Pricing is quote only on all five tiers, though the pricing page's structured data lists Starter at $333 and Grow at $833 a month.

Customers named on Upflow's website include Vercel, Lattice and Front.

**Best suited for:** mid-market and upmarket B2B finance teams that manage by metric.

**The limit:** No native late fees, no payment plans beyond customer-initiated part payments, and automatic actions fire once a day on business days only. Every tier is quote only, so you are back in a sales process.

## 3. Kolleno, best for large enterprise groups

Kolleno is an AI order-to-cash platform for enterprise finance teams, priced from $650 per user a month, with cash application and reconciliation at a scale the SMB tools here do not attempt.

![Kolleno homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/kolleno-home.webp)

Kolleno solves the problem the others do not: matching thousands of payments to invoices across entities and currencies. Its AI tiers run from insight through copilot to autonomous policy-based collections. The fuller breakdown is in our [Kolleno alternatives guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/best-kolleno-alternatives-2026).

Customers named on Kolleno's website include Wise, Marshmallow and Laundryheap.

**Best suited for:** multi-entity groups with a finance team on enterprise ERPs, priced per user by turnover band.

**The limit:** Per-user pricing is a different budget class from Chaser, let alone from the SMB tools here, and no late-fee or interest feature was found, which rules out the statutory-interest pattern for UK businesses.

## 4. ezyCollect, best for MYOB trade businesses

ezyCollect is the Australia and New Zealand receivables specialist, owned by Sidetrade, best for MYOB and local ERP trade businesses, from about A$275 a month plus setup.

![ezyCollect homepage showing the headline Businesses with ezyCollect by Sidetrade get paid faster](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/competitors/ezycollect-home.webp)

Sydney-founded and acquired by Sidetrade in October 2025, ezyCollect is the strongest fit where the ledger is MYOB or a local ERP the UK tools ignore. Our [ezyCollect alternatives guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/ezycollect-alternatives) covers the switch the other way.

Customers named on ezyCollect's website include Feral Brewing, Hampers with Bite and CW Systems.

**Best suited for:** AU and NZ mid-market wholesale and trade businesses with 200-plus active debtors.

**The limit:** No late-fee or interest automation at all, and setup fees plus annual contracts make the true entry cost higher than the headline. Premium channels such as SMS sit in higher tiers.

## 5. Satago, best for chasing plus invoice finance

Satago is a UK credit control and invoice finance hybrid, best for small UK businesses that want chasing and funding in one login, from £45 a month.

![Satago homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/satago-home.webp)
Fitssmall UK businesses that want chasing and invoice finance in one loginRegionsUK onlyEntry cost£45 a month on Basic (100 email reminders a month), £80 on Premium with SMS, £200 on Platinum; £25 a month inside Sage 50Rated4.93/5 from 92 Xero App Store UK reviewsRuns onXero, Sage, Sage 50, QuickBooks, KashFlow, FreeAgentStatutory late feesnot verifiable from public materialsThe one thing it does bestLloyds-backed single-invoice or whole-ledger finance inside the same product

When the follow-up need and the borrowing need arrive together, Satago serves both, with customer risk insights and credit control as a service on top. If funding is not the draw, see the [Satago alternatives](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/satago-alternatives) that focus on chasing.

**Best suited for:** small UK businesses that want chasing and invoice finance in one login.

**The limit:** The platform is finance-first so the credit-control layer runs thinner than the dedicated tools here, Basic caps email reminders at 100 a month with no SMS, and depth on fees and sequences is not verifiable from public materials.

## 6. Credit Hound, best for Sage or Access

Credit Hound is task-driven debtor management from Draycir for teams on Sage 50, Sage 200 or Access, from £20 per user a month on Sage Accounting, £51 on Sage 50 or Xero.

![Credit Hound homepage showing the headline Improve cash flow with an automated credit control software, Credit Hound Cloud, beside a demo request form](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/competitors/credit-hound-home.webp)
FitsUK small and mid-market businesses on Sage 50, Sage 200 or AccessRegionsUK, from DraycirEntry cost£20 per user a month on Sage Accounting; £51 for the first user and £35 for each extra on Sage 50 and Xero; £82 then £50 on Sage 200; the desktop edition is quoted through resellersRatednot published in a source we could verifyRuns onSage 50, Sage 200, Sage Intacct, Xero, Access, Dynamics; no QuickBooks Online connectorStatutory late feesnot verifiable from public materialsThe one thing it does besta structured chase queue for a credit controller who lives inside Sage all day

Credit Hound is the right answer to a narrow question: you are staying on Sage or Access, and you want the chasing to happen there rather than in a separate browser tab.

**Best suited for:** UK small and mid-market businesses on Sage 50, Sage 200 or Access.

**The limit:** It is an ERP add-on, not a platform, so it is the wrong shape if you run QuickBooks Online, it chases without charging fees, and per-user pricing scales badly past three controllers.

## Which Chaser alternative should you choose?

The right [Chaser alternative](https://www.paidnice.com/chaser-alternative) depends on your annual revenue and the reason you are leaving: Paidnice for Xero or QuickBooks businesses up to $50m a year, Upflow for reporting, Kolleno for reconciliation, ezyCollect for AU and NZ, Satago for UK funding and Credit Hound for Sage.

| Your annual revenue | Chaser alternatives that fit | The published gate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Under $1m | Paidnice, Satago, Credit Hound | Paidnice publishes $69 a month; Satago from £45 and Credit Hound from £20 per user on Sage Accounting. Kolleno BusinessPay also covers this band, at $650 per user. |
| $1m to $10m | Paidnice, Upflow, Kolleno, ezyCollect, Satago | Paidnice Pro from $99 with unlimited users; Upflow Starter covers gross invoice value to $10m; Kolleno Business Plus covers £1M to £100M. |
| $10m to $50m | Paidnice, Chaser, Upflow, Kolleno, ezyCollect | Paidnice fits up to $50m or 50,000 invoices a year; Chaser Core covers turnover to £10m; Upflow Grow and Scale cover $25m and $50m; Kolleno Business Plus to £100M. |
| Over $50m | Chaser, Upflow, Kolleno | Chaser Complete; Upflow Accelerate and Enterprise (to $100m and above); Kolleno Enterprise (from £100M). |

- **You left on price, and you are on Xero or QuickBooks.** Paidnice: $69 a month (£49) with no per-seat charge, and fee policies per customer group rather than one global rule.
- **You left because you could not measure anything.** Upflow, which reports countback DSO and collection effectiveness, last reported at $440 (Grow) and $880 (Scale) a month in 2024, now quote-only on gross invoice value, so request a quote.
- **You left because reconciliation is the real work.** Kolleno, if you have the ERP and the budget for per-user pricing.
- **You are in Australia or New Zealand on MYOB.** ezyCollect, and put late-payment terms in the contract because the software will not apply interest for you.
- **You need funding as well as chasing.** Satago at the small UK end.
- **You are staying on Sage or Access.** Credit Hound.
- **You want Chaser's bureau credit monitoring.** Stay, or look at ezyCollect and Satago, which carry trade credit data in AU and UK markets respectively. Paidnice runs native credit checks from payment behaviour on every plan, and Creditsafe bureau checks on the Custom plan.

**💡 Paidnice insight**

The switch that sticks is rarely feature-for-feature. Teams that move off Chaser and stay moved have usually made one decision: fees and interest apply automatically, per customer group, and get waived by a named person with a reason recorded. That single policy does more for the aging profile than any change of reminder wording.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the best Chaser alternative in 2026?

The best Chaser alternative depends on the reason you are leaving. Upflow leads for analytics, Kolleno for cash application at enterprise scale, ezyCollect and Satago for trade credit data in Australia and the UK, and Credit Hound for teams on Sage. For businesses on Xero or QuickBooks Online that want late fees and interest applied rather than more reminders, Paidnice covers the most ground at $69 a month (£49).

### What is the cheapest Chaser alternative?

Credit Hound has the lowest entry price on this list at £20 per user a month on Sage Accounting (£51 on Sage 50 or Xero), and Satago starts at £45 a month. Paidnice starts at $69 a month (£49) for 150 invoices with no per-seat fees, and Upflow quotes on five tiers by gross invoice value, with Starter listed at $333 a month in its page data; [Kolleno prices](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/kolleno-pricing-alternatives) per user in a different budget class.

### Does Chaser charge late fees?

Yes, with four calculation types including the Bank of England base rate. The constraint is that it is one global rule applied to every customer, and fees do not apply to payment-plan or partially paid invoices. If you need different fee policies for different customer groups, that is the specific gap to test in a trial.

### Is Chaser still a good tool?

Yes, for the larger company it is now built for, and its Xero App Store record at 4.98 from 374 reviews is the strongest here. It is one of the oldest names in the category, and its real strength is credit checking and monitoring in the same tool as chasing by email, SMS, letter and automated call. Teams leave on price, user caps, or because they want fee policies that vary by customer group.

### How hard is it to migrate?

Less work than most teams expect, because none of these tools hold your data. The receivable lives in Xero, QuickBooks or your ERP, so a migration is really a reconnection: authorize the new tool, rebuild your reminder schedules, then run both in parallel for one cycle before you switch the old one off.

### How much does Chaser cost?

Chaser prices by turnover band. Compact is £199 a month (about $259) for turnover up to £4m, Core is £599 a month up to £10m, and Complete is £899 a month up to £100m.

### Which Chaser alternatives include credit checks?

Kolleno, ezyCollect and Satago include credit checks. Paidnice runs native credit checks from each customer's payment behavior on every plan, plus Creditsafe bureau checks through the API on the Custom plan. Upflow offers light risk scoring.

### Which Chaser alternative sends statements on any schedule?

Paidnice sends statements on any schedule, including consolidated statements for parent accounts. Chaser sends statements monthly only, on a fixed day, and ezyCollect sends them monthly.

Read the transcript: Best Chaser alternatives: 4 things a replacement must do

Chaser used to charge 49 US dollars a month for its cheapest plan. That plan has moved to 199 pounds and your turnover decides the plan instead of your invoice count. This video explains why businesses leave, what a replacement has to do, and the apps with Paidnice first as the best option for Xero and QuickBooks. First, why businesses leave Chaser.

Second, the four things a replacement has to do. Third, the apps with Paidnice first as the best option for Xero and QuickBooks Online. Fourth, how to choose by your annual revenue. Chapter 1.

Businesses leave Chaser because the price is set by turnover. The cheapest plan caps you at four users and every customer gets the same late fee rule. UK small businesses wait about 29 days to be paid, so a replacement has to change what a late customer owes as well as remind them.

If credit checks bundled with the chasing are your main need, stay with Chaser. Chapter 2. The first thing a replacement has to do is run a different reminder sequence for each customer group from your own domain under a real name. Small accounts get a firm sequence and enterprise accounts get a softer one.

Before the due date, the customer gets a heads up and on the due date, the invoice link. A week later comes a firmer email and a text message. Three weeks later comes a notice naming the late fee.

The second thing a replacement has to do is send statements on whatever schedule you choose because Chaser only sends them monthly on a fixed day. Say a customer has three open invoices and pays one. The statement shows £6,500 still outstanding, some of it more than 60 days old.

One link pays every open invoice. The third thing a replacement has to do is charge late fees with a different policy for each customer group posted straight to the invoice. In the UK, the Late Payment Act lets you charge 8% over the Bank of England base rate plus a fixed sum that depends on the size of the debt. Take a £4,000 invoice that is 30 days overdue.

The interest is £38.63 plus the £70 fixed sum. A grace period runs first and you can waive the fee in one click for a customer you want to keep. The fourth thing a replacement has to do is run payment plans with a card on file.

So, each agreed installment charges itself on the day. A £12,000 debt becomes four payments. Each one is £3,000 charged on its date and nobody has to chase. Chaser charges no late fees on invoices that are on a plan.

So, the stored card is what keeps the plan on track. Chapter three. Paidnice is the best option for a business on Xero or QuickBooks Online that left Chaser over price and wants late fees, interest, and statements enforced.

It costs from $69 US a month with no charge per user and the price is set by how many invoices you send. Chaser bundles credit checks with the chasing. Upflow is for mid-market finance teams that want analytics and it quotes rather than publishes a price. Kolleno is for enterprise teams that match bank payments to invoices from $650 a month for each user.

ezyCollect covers Australia and New Zealand on MYOB. Satago is for small UK businesses that also want invoice finance. Credit Hound is for teams already on Sage. Chapter four.

Your annual revenue decides your short list and Paidnice is on it at every size up to $50 million a year. Under $1 million, the short list is Paidnice, Satago, or Credit Hound. From 1 to 10 million, it is Paidnice, Upflow, Kolleno, ezyCollect, or Satago.

From 10 to 50 million, it is Paidnice, Chaser, Upflow, Kolleno, or ezyCollect. Over 50 million, it is Chaser, Upflow, or Kolleno. A Chaser alternative has to send reminders per customer group, send statements on any schedule, post late fees to the ledger, and run payment plans that charge themselves.

Paidnice does all four for Xero and QuickBooks Online from $69 a month. Sign up is free with no card and the first 20 actions are free. The full comparison is on the Paidnice
