## Summary

Paidnice, Upflow, Chaser, ezyCollect and Satago are the five main Kolleno alternatives, split by ledger and revenue band: Paidnice fits Xero and QuickBooks Online businesses up to $50m a year, Chaser UK teams past £4m, and Upflow analytics-led mid-market teams. None of them match Kolleno's cash application depth like for like.

- **Paidnice:** Best for any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online up to $50m a year that wants late fees and interest applied automatically, from $69 a month (£49) by invoice volume, against Kolleno's $650 per user.
- **Upflow:** Best for analytics-led mid-market finance teams; price on request by gross invoice value, with Starter at $333 a month in its page data.
- **Chaser:** Best for larger UK businesses past £4m turnover that want bureau credit checks with their chasing, from £199 a month.
- **ezyCollect:** Best for AU and NZ trade businesses on MYOB with 200-plus debtors, from about A$275 a month plus setup.

## Why do businesses look for a Kolleno alternative?

Businesses look for a Kolleno alternative mainly because of price: Kolleno charges $650 per user a month, rising to $1,245 per user with a two-user minimum on Business Plus, and no late-fee or interest feature was found in its product or help materials.

**Per-user pricing at enterprise rates.** BusinessPay is $650 per user a month, or $545 on an annual commitment. Business Plus is $1,245 per user with a two-user minimum. Credit control is a team sport, so per-user pricing punishes exactly the businesses that want to involve an accountant, a junior and a director.

What that per-user rate adds up to for teams of 3, 5 and 10 is set out in [Kolleno pricing and alternatives](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/kolleno-pricing-alternatives).

**Plans set by turnover band.** BusinessPay is for turnover under £1M, Business Plus £1M to £100M, Enterprise £100M to £1Bn and Enterprise Plus above £1Bn. Kolleno repositioned upmarket from SME credit control to enterprise order-to-cash, and workflows and auto-reconciliation start on Business Plus.

**No late fees.** We found no late-fee or interest feature in Kolleno's product pages or help center. For a UK business, that removes the Late Payment of Commercial Debts route entirely, and the fee has to be raised manually in the ledger.

What Kolleno does better than anything on this list is cash application: 36 help articles on matching alone, covering partial payments, credit-note offsets, foreign-exchange differences and bank fees, with BAI2, NACHA and ISO 20022 bank files. If reconciliation is the real workload, none of these tools match it.

## How do the five Kolleno alternatives compare?

Paidnice fits any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online up to $50m a year, Upflow analytics-led mid-market teams, Chaser larger UK businesses wanting bureau credit data, ezyCollect AU and NZ trade, and Satago small UK businesses that also want funding.

## How we ranked these Kolleno alternatives

Each criterion below is a column, or a group of columns, in the comparison table above. The five weights add up to 100%.

- **Price and pricing model (25%):** the entry price a month, and whether the vendor charges per user, per invoice volume or by quote, from each vendor's own pricing page.
- **Ledger and size fit (25%):** the accounting systems each tool connects to natively and the revenue or invoice volume its plans are built for, from each vendor's integration and plan pages.
- **Late fees and interest (20%):** whether the tool applies the fee and interest itself, per customer group or by one global rule, from each vendor's help docs.
- **Cash application and payment plans (15%):** from each vendor's help docs and product pages. We count shipped features only, not beta ones.
- **Reviews (15%):** ratings with the review count, from the Xero App Store or G2 as the table shows.

Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, and a price a vendor hides is given as last reported, with the year. Features come from vendor help docs. Prices change, so verify before you buy. Ratings: [Paidnice](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/paidnice/reviews), [Chaser](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/chaser/reviews) and [ezyCollect](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/ezycollect/reviews) on the Xero App Store; [Upflow](https://www.g2.com/products/upflow-upflow/reviews) and [Kolleno](https://www.g2.com/products/kolleno/reviews) on G2. Where no rating is published, the table says so.

Paidnice is our product. Every entry, Paidnice included, lists its limit. The weights are our editorial judgment.

## 1. Paidnice, best for businesses up to $50m

Paidnice is accounts receivable automation for businesses on Xero and QuickBooks Online: the late fees and interest Kolleno leaves out, plus statements and payment plans, on a flat price by invoice volume with unlimited users on Pro.

![Paidnice homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/paidnice-home.webp)
Fitsany business on Xero or QuickBooks Online, from its first invoice up to $50m a year or 50,000 invoices a year, with or without a credit controllerRegionsstrongest where Xero is strong (UK, Australia, New Zealand), plus the US, Canada and South AfricaEntry cost$69/mo (£49), 150 invoices; Pro from $99/mo (£74). The contrast with Kolleno is stark on cost: unlimited users on Pro against $650 per user a month. The contrast on capability runs the other way, because Paidnice does not attempt bank-file cash application.

What it does instead is enforce. Fees and interest apply automatically per customer group, [statements](https://www.paidnice.com/automated-customer-statements) run on any schedule, and the fee posts to the ledger where your customer's payables system can see it. Reminders, statements and late fees run on a fixed policy per customer group, so collections activity is automated end to end rather than needing a person to trigger each step. Customers see half as many late invoices in the first 30 days.

**Best suited for:** any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online, from its first invoice up to $50m a year or 50,000 invoices a year, with or without a credit controller.

**The limit:** No bank-file matching, no multi-entity ERP support, and bureau credit checks on the Custom plan only (native credit checks from payment behaviour run on every plan), so a group reconciling thousands of payments across currencies should still consider Paidnice for the chasing, statements and late fees around that matching. Built for Xero and QuickBooks Online only.

## 2. Upflow, best for analytics-led finance teams

Upflow is a collections analytics platform for mid-market finance teams, now quote-only on five tiers by gross invoice value (last reported at $440 for Grow and $880 for Scale in 2024) with unlimited seats, and the closest match to Kolleno's buyer without a per-user meter.

Upflow is the closest match to Kolleno's target buyer without the per-user meter. Its cash application agent and bank-CSV upload landed through 2026, so the reconciliation gap is narrower than it was.

Customers named on Upflow's website include Vercel, Lattice and Front.

**Best suited for:** mid-market and upmarket B2B finance teams that manage by metric.

**The limit:** No native late fees, no payment plans beyond customer-initiated part payments, and every tier is quote only. Automatic actions fire once a day on business days only. Our [Upflow alternatives guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/best-upflow-alternatives-2026) covers the trade-offs.

## 3. Chaser, best for UK bureau credit checks

Chaser is one of the oldest names in UK credit control: email and SMS reminders from your own mailbox plus credit checks, priced by turnover band from £199 a month rather than per user.

![Chaser homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/chaser-home.webp)
FitsUK-centered businesses from £4m to £100m turnover with a named credit controllerRegionsUK-based; sells worldwideEntry cost£199/mo (about $259) on Compact, covering turnover to £4m; next tier £599/moRated4.98/5 from 374 Xero App Store reviewsRuns onXero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Gmail, OutlookStatutory late feesfour calculation types including the Bank of England base rate, but one global rule only; the rate cannot vary by customer groupThe one thing it does bestcredit checking and monitoring in the same tool as email and SMS chasing

For a UK business at £4m to £10m turnover, Chaser's Core tier at £599 a month covers a whole team, where Kolleno would charge per seat. It also applies late fees, which Kolleno does not.

Customers named on Chaser's website include Pact Coffee, Gipsy Hill Brewery and The New Statesman.

**Best suited for:** UK-centered businesses from £4m to £100m turnover with a named credit controller.

**The limit:** One global late-fee rule, statements monthly only on a fixed day, and no bank-file cash application. Our [Chaser alternatives guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/best-chaser-alternatives-2026) has the detail.

## 4. ezyCollect, best for MYOB trade businesses

ezyCollect is the Australia and New Zealand receivables specialist, owned by Sidetrade, with the deepest MYOB and local ERP coverage on this list plus Experian credit data, from about A$275 a month.

![ezyCollect homepage showing the headline Businesses with ezyCollect by Sidetrade get paid faster](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/competitors/ezycollect-home.webp)

Kolleno sells globally but its integration depth points at NetSuite and SAP. If your ledger is MYOB and your debtors are local, ezyCollect is the specialist. Our [ezyCollect alternatives guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/ezycollect-alternatives) covers the reverse move.

Customers named on ezyCollect's website include Feral Brewing, Hampers with Bite and CW Systems.

**Best suited for:** AU and NZ mid-market wholesale and trade businesses with 200-plus active debtors.

**The limit:** No late-fee or interest automation at all, and setup fees plus annual contracts make the true entry cost higher than the headline.

## 5. Satago, best for chasing plus invoice finance

Satago is a UK credit control and invoice finance hybrid for small businesses: the same login that reminds your customers can fund the invoice while you wait to be paid, from £45 a month.

![Satago homepage](https://www.paidnice.com/images/blog/shots/satago-home.webp)

If you looked at Kolleno because the cash gap hurts, Satago addresses the same pain from the other end: fund the invoice rather than reconcile it faster.

**Best suited for:** small UK businesses that want chasing and invoice finance in one login.

**The limit:** UK only, and depth on fees, sequences and statements is not verifiable from public materials.

## Which Kolleno alternative should you choose?

The right Kolleno alternative depends on whether reconciliation or late payment is the real workload: Paidnice applies fees and interest on Xero or QuickBooks up to $50m a year, Upflow covers analytics and cash application, last reported at $440 (Grow) and $880 (Scale) a month in 2024 and now quote-only, and Chaser adds bureau credit checks for UK teams past £4m.

| Your annual revenue | Kolleno alternatives that fit | The published limits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Under $1m | Paidnice, Satago | Kolleno's BusinessPay plan covers this band at $650 per user a month. Paidnice publishes $69 a month; Satago publishes £45 a month for small UK businesses. |
| $1m to $10m | Paidnice, Upflow, ezyCollect, Satago | Paidnice Pro from $99 with unlimited users; Upflow Starter covers gross invoice value to $10m; ezyCollect ezyStart covers 200 debtors. |

| Over $50m | Chaser, Upflow | Chaser Complete; Upflow Accelerate and Enterprise (to $100m and above). Kolleno Enterprise starts at £100M. |

- **Reconciliation is the workload, but the price is not.** Upflow, whose cash application agent now handles bank-CSV matching, last reported at $440 (Grow) and $880 (Scale) a month in 2024, now quote-only, request a quote.
- **Late payment is the workload, and you are on Xero or QuickBooks.** Paidnice at $69 a month (£49), with fees per customer group and unlimited users on Pro.
- **You are UK, £4m to £10m, and want bureau credit data.** Chaser's Core tier covers the whole team for £599 a month.
- **Your debtors are in Australia or New Zealand.** ezyCollect, with late-payment terms written into the contract.
- **The cash gap is the problem, not the process.** Satago at the small UK end.
- **You genuinely need multi-entity, multi-currency matching.** Stay with Kolleno. Nothing here matches it, and switching to save on seats will cost you more in manual reconciliation.

**💡 Paidnice insight**

The question worth asking before you shortlist: is your cash trapped because payments are hard to match, or because customers are not paying on time? Those are different products. Enterprise order-to-cash tools fix the first and mostly ignore the second, which is why so many groups run one of each.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the best Kolleno alternative in 2026?

It depends on the workload. Upflow is the closest match for analytics-led mid-market teams without per-user pricing. For businesses on Xero or QuickBooks Online that want fees and interest applied automatically, Paidnice covers the most ground at $69 a month (£49). Chaser suits larger UK teams that also want bureau credit checking.

### How much does Kolleno cost?

BusinessPay is $650 per user a month, or $545 per user on an annual commitment, for turnover under £1M. Business Plus is $1,245 per user a month with a two-user minimum, for £1M to £100M. Enterprise tiers are quoted, and integrations, customizations and add-ons can carry extra charges.

### Does Kolleno charge late fees?

We found no late-fee or interest feature in Kolleno's product pages or help center. For UK businesses that want statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, that is a hard gap, and the fee has to be raised manually in the ledger.

### Is there a cheaper Kolleno alternative?

Yes, by a wide margin. Paidnice publishes $69 a month (£49) for 150 invoices with no per-seat charge, and [Chaser starts at](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/chaser-pricing-alternatives) £199 a month for turnover to £4m. ### Which Kolleno alternatives work with Xero?

All five list Xero and QuickBooks connections. ezyCollect adds MYOB, and Upflow, Chaser and ezyCollect also connect to NetSuite.

### Which Kolleno alternative is closest on cash application?

Upflow. Its cash application agent and bank-CSV upload landed through 2026. None of the five match Kolleno's bank-file matching on BAI2, NACHA and ISO 20022 files. A group that reconciles thousands of payments should still consider Paidnice for the chasing, statements and late fees around that matching.

### Which Kolleno alternative suits a UK business?

Paidnice suits a UK business on Xero or QuickBooks Online that wants statutory interest auto-indexed to the Bank of England base rate. Chaser suits UK teams past £4m turnover that want bureau credit checks, and Satago suits small UK businesses that also want invoice finance.

Read the transcript: Kolleno Alternatives 2026: Pricing, Fees and Who Fits

The best Kolleno alternatives in order are Paidnice, Upflow, Chaser, ezyCollect, and Satago. Paidnice is number one for any business on Xero or QuickBooks Online up to $50 million a year. Kolleno charges $650 a month for each user, and we found no late fee or interest feature in its product.

Xero data shows US small businesses wait about 29 days to be paid. We ranked each tool on its entry price, the size of business it fits, the accounting systems it connects to, and whether it applies late fees automatically. The price is published or last reported.

The fee test is per customer group or by one global rule. Number one, Paidnice. Best for any business up to $50 million on Xero or QuickBooks Online that wants late fees, interest, and statements without a per user charge.

Reminders, statements, and late fees run on one fixed policy per customer group. The late fee is raised as its own invoice on the ledger. Its accounts receivable AI reads every customer reply and drafts the answer a person approves.

A person can call from inside Paidnice, recorded and transcribed. Each customer gets a credit score from how they pay. It starts at $69 a month, priced by invoice volume.

Payment plans, unlimited users, and sending from your own domain come with Pro from $99. A customer see half as many late invoices in the first 30 days. The limitation is no bank file matching and no support for groups that run several companies on one ERP.

Number two, Upflow. Best for mid-size finance teams that want collections reports and no per user charge. It is quote only on five plans set by how much you invoice with unlimited seats.

The limitation is no native late fees, no payment plans beyond a part payment, and automatic actions that fire once a day on business days only. Number three, Chaser. Best for larger UK businesses that want bureau credit checks with their chasing.

It sends reminders from your own mailbox and adds credit checks. Priced by turnover from £199 a month, about $259. The limitation is one global late fee rule and statements only monthly on a fixed day.

Number four, ezyCollect. Best for Australia and New Zealand trade businesses on MYOB with 200 or more It has the deepest MYOB coverage on this list, plus local trade credit data. From about 275 Australian dollars a month, plus setup.

The limitation is no late fee or interest automation and annual contracts. Number five, Satago. Best for small UK businesses that also want invoice finance in the same login as their The same login that reminds your customers can fund the invoice while you wait to be paid. From £45 a month.

The limitation is that it is UK only, and the depth of its fees and statements is not verifiable. The right Kolleno alternative depends on whether matching payments or late payment is the real work. If late payment is the work and you are on Xero or QuickBooks, choose Paidnice at $69 a month, with fees per customer group and unlimited users on Pro.

If matching is the work, but the per user price is not, ask Upflow for a quote. If you are a UK business past £4 million and want credit checks, choose Chaser. If your debtors are in Australia or New Zealand, choose ezyCollect.

If the cash gap is the problem, choose Satago, the small UK option. If you need to match payments across several companies and currencies, stay with Kolleno. For a business on Xero or QuickBooks Online, Paidnice is the best Kolleno alternative.

It starts at $69 a month with no per user charge and payment plans come with Pro. Signing up is free, no card needed, and the first 20 actions are free. The full ranking is on the Paidnice blog.
