## Summary

Credit control software automates invoice reminders, escalation and debtor tracking so a business gets paid on time. Compared by size, Paidnice suits Xero and QuickBooks businesses up to $50m a year, Chaser suits established UK firms past £4m that need letters or bureau credit checks, and Kolleno suits NetSuite or SAP teams with bank payments to match.

- **Paidnice:** Best for enforcing payment terms on Xero or QuickBooks Online at any size up to $50m a year, from £49 a month ($69), priced by invoice volume, not turnover or seats.
- **Chaser:** Best for established UK businesses past £4m turnover that need letters, calls or credit checks, from $259 a month (£199), priced on annual revenue.
- **Kolleno:** Best for finance teams on NetSuite or SAP with bank payments to match, from $650 per user a month.
- **Statey:** Best for automated statements on Xero only, from $10 per Xero organisation a month, with no chasing workflow.

Plan-by-plan prices for every vendor are in [credit control software pricing](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-pricing).

## Which credit control software works with your accounting system?

Your accounting system narrows the shortlist faster than price does. Each line names the tools on this page that connect to it.

- **Xero:** Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno, Upflow, Satago, Credit Hound, Statey, ezyCollect and Lunos.ai. The tool-by-tool view is in [credit control software for Xero](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-xero).
- **QuickBooks Online:** Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno, Upflow, Satago and Lunos.ai. Credit Hound has no QuickBooks Online connector. See [accounts receivable software for QuickBooks](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/best-accounts-receivable-software-quickbooks).
- **Sage 50, Sage 200 and Sage Accounting:** Chaser, Satago and Credit Hound. See [credit control software for Sage](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-sage-accounting).
- **Sage Intacct:** Chaser, Kolleno, Upflow, Credit Hound and ezyCollect, and Paidnice on Custom. See [credit control software for Sage Intacct](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-sage-intacct).
- **NetSuite:** Chaser, Kolleno, Upflow, ezyCollect and Lunos.ai, and Paidnice on Custom. See [credit control software for NetSuite](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-netsuite).
- **Business Central and Dynamics 365:** Chaser, Kolleno and ezyCollect, and Paidnice on Custom. See [credit control software for Business Central](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-business-central).
- **MYOB, SAP and other ERPs:** ezyCollect connects to MYOB and SAP Business One, Chaser and Kolleno to SAP, and Paidnice to MYOB on Custom. See [credit control software for ERPs](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-erp).

## How do you choose credit control software?

Start with your accounting system, then the price at your volume, then who does the chasing. The ledger rules tools out faster than price does.

- **Your ledger:** shortlist only the tools that connect to it. The ledger list above names them.
- **The price at your volume:** work out what you pay at your invoice count, turnover or seat count. Per-user, turnover and percentage pricing move furthest from the advertised price.
- **Who does the chasing:** one person needs a tool that runs alone with an approval step. A team needs an owner per customer, a shared status view and logged payment promises.

### What should you test in a free trial or demo?

Test these five things on your own ledger, in a trial or a demo, before you buy.

| Question | A good answer | Paidnice |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Can I approve every email before it sends? | Yes. Nothing sends until you switch a sequence on. | Every action can wait for your approval. The first 20 actions are free, with no card. |
| Can I stop chasing one group of customers and keep chasing the rest? | Yes, per customer or per customer group. | Policies sit on customer groups, so each group gets its own reminders and fees, or none. |
| What happens when a customer replies "paid yesterday"? | The tool reads the reply, then pauses or flags the invoice. | Paidnice reads the reply with AI and drafts the response. You approve it before it sends. |
| Do reminders come from our own email domain? | Yes, from an address on your domain. | Paidnice authenticates your domain once, then sends from any address on it. |
| Will moving from our current tool chase customers twice? | No. You run one tool at a time and check the first cycle manually. | Keep approval on for the first cycle, so you see each email before it sends. |

Rollout steps are in [how to implement automated credit control](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/implement-automated-credit-control).

## How we ranked these credit control apps

We scored the ten apps in the first table on five criteria. Each covers rows or columns of the tables on this page, and the weights add up to 100%. Sidetrade, HighRadius and Esker are named for context and are not scored.

- **Price and what it scales on (25%):** each vendor's own pricing page, covering "Price from", "Real monthly minimum" and "Priced by". Prices a vendor does not publish are given as last reported, with the year.
- **Ledgers and size fit (20%):** each vendor's integration pages and plan limits, covering the "Ledgers" and "Size fit" rows and columns.
- **Late fees and interest (20%):** each vendor's help docs, covering the "Late fees and interest" row: whether the app applies the charge itself, per customer group or by one global rule.
- **What it automates (20%):** each vendor's help docs and product pages, covering the channels, bank-file matching, credit checks and payment plan rows. We count shipped features only.
- **Reviews (15%):** the Xero App Store and Capterra, with the review count beside each score: [Paidnice](https://apps.xero.com/us/app/paidnice/reviews) and [Chaser](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/chaser/reviews) on the Xero App Store, [Paidnice](https://www.capterra.com/p/254868/Paidnice/) and [Chaser](https://www.capterra.com/p/157101/CHASER/) on Capterra.

Paidnice is our product. The weights are our editorial judgment.

## What is the difference between credit control and credit management software?

Credit control software chases customers you have already given credit to, while credit management software decides who gets credit and how much, through credit checks, limits and onboarding.

Chaser, Satago and Kolleno cover both jobs with credit checks or credit reports. Paidnice covers both: native credit checks from each customer's payment behavior on every plan, plus Creditsafe bureau checks through the API on its Custom plan.

**Credit control software and accounts receivable automation are the same category.** UK buyers say credit control; US vendors say accounts receivable automation or order-to-cash. The shortlist is the same either way, and so are the gates.

| Label | What it covers | Where it is used |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Accounts receivable automation | The whole invoice-to-cash process | US, and enterprise vendors everywhere |
| Credit control | Everything involved in collecting overdue invoices, credit limits included | Mainly the UK |
| Debtor management | The UK's credit control under an antipodean name | Australia and New Zealand |
| Dunning | Only the scheduled reminder sequence itself | US, and billing-platform documentation |

## What are the core features of credit control software?

Credit control software automates invoice reminders, runs escalation workflows, hosts a customer portal, tracks disputes and links to your ledger so the business gets paid on time. Credit checking, late fees and bank-file cash application are where the credit control apps diverge.

Among Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno and Upflow, entry prices run from $69 a month by invoice volume to $650 a user a month by seat, a nine-fold spread for the same core job.

Every tool here syncs invoices from your ledger or ERP and runs reminders against anything overdue. Shortlist on three parts above that: late fee computation, bank-payment matching and credit checks before you extend terms.

Kolleno and Upflow read bank files. Chaser, Kolleno and Paidnice run credit checks. Chaser and Paidnice compute late fees, and Paidnice varies them per customer group and posts them to the ledger.

Paidnice runs native credit checks from each customer's payment behavior on every plan and Creditsafe bureau checks through the API on its Custom plan only. It reads no bank files.

Paidnice includes payment forecasting and cohort forecasting on every plan at no extra charge, where Chaser meters AR forecasting at £9 a month and sells cash-flow forecasting as a separate £29 a month plan.

Dunning on a subscription billing stack is covered in [credit control for B2B SaaS](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-for-b2b-saas).

**Pick a tool that runs reminders and applies late fees.** Businesses that run reminders and late fees together have a DSO of about 27 days. With no automation switched on, DSO is about 39 days.
Original dataSource: our analysis of invoice data from over 1,000 Paidnice customers. See how to reduce DSO, measured.

## Should you buy credit control software or outsource credit control?

Credit control software suits a business with someone to own the ledger, and an outsourced credit control service suits a business with no credit control capacity of its own.

Chaser Care, bundled with the software from £899 a month, does the chasing for you, and Satago sells credit control as a service. A collection agency works after both, once a debt is escalated.

## How do Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno and Upflow compare on features?

Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno and Upflow all sync invoices from Xero and QuickBooks Online and chase by email and SMS. They differ on price, the denominator behind it, the turnover band, late fees, bank-file matching and credit checks.

| Capability | Paidnice | Chaser | Kolleno | Upflow |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Published price from | £49 / $69 a month | £199 a month | $650 per user a month | $440 a month iUpflow's last published price. Upflow now quotes by gross invoice value. |

| Best for | Late fees on the ledger | Letters and phone calls | Bank-file matching | AR analytics depth |

Yes The capability is documented and holds without a workaround.

Partial It works, with a constraint that matters: one global rule, an ERP dependency, or a fixed send day.

None The capability is absent from the vendor's documented feature list.

Not published The vendor documents nothing either way, so the answer is unknown.

## What are the turnover gates, seat minimums and real monthly minimums?

Chaser's £199 plan stops at £4m revenue. Kolleno sets plans by turnover band and charges per seat, so its real entry for auto-reconciliation is $2,490. Upflow bands by gross invoice value.

**Chaser is priced on annual revenue.** Compact at £199 ($259 in the US) covers up to £4m with four users and £10 for each extra user. Core at £599 covers up to £10m and Complete at £899 up to £100m, both with unlimited users.

**Kolleno bands by turnover, then charges per seat.** BusinessPay is $650 per user a month ($545 annual) under £1M turnover, with a one-seat minimum, so three seats cost $1,950. Business Plus is $1,245 per user for £1M to £100M with two seats, a real entry of $2,490 a month.

**Upflow bands by gross invoice value.** Starter covers up to $10m, Grow $25m, Scale $50m, Accelerate $100m and Enterprise above that, with unlimited seats. Every tier is now quote only; the last published prices were $440 a month on Grow and $880 on Scale.

**Paidnice prices by invoice volume.** Plans step from 150 invoices on Essentials at £49 / $69 to 4,000 on Pro at $799, with Custom from $999. Paidnice fits any size up to $50m a year, or 50,000 invoices a year, with no per-seat fee.

**Metered extras change the real cost.** Chaser's published add-on prices bill SMS at £0.05 to £0.07, credit checks at £2 to £3, AR forecasting at £9 a month, and cash-flow forecasting as a separate £29 a month plan.

Paidnice bills SMS at £0.05 / $0.10 and each extra entity at £19 / $29, covered in [credit control across multiple Xero companies](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-multiple-companies-xero).

The plan-by-plan ladder for every vendor is in [credit control software pricing](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-pricing).

## Where do Satago, Credit Hound, Statey, ezyCollect and the others fit?

Satago and Credit Hound fit businesses on Sage, Statey fits Xero users who want statements only, ezyCollect and Lunos.ai fit ERP teams, Access Collect fits businesses already on Access Financials, and Sidetrade, HighRadius and Esker fit enterprises on SAP, Oracle or Dynamics.

**Satago: best for Sage 50 users who want credit reports with their chasing, from £25 a month inside Sage 50, Satago's published GBP price.** The standalone app runs £45 to £200 a month per company, pairs chasing with invoice finance, and connects to Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.

**Credit Hound: best for Sage 50 and Sage 200 teams buying through a reseller, at $25 to $454 a user a month.** Credit Hound, from Draycir, prices per user, connects to Sage and Xero, and has no QuickBooks Online connector. No late fee or interest feature is published.

**Statey: best for automated statements on Xero, from $10 per Xero organisation a month.** Statey sends scheduled statements with age analysis on three tiers, $10, $25 and $50 a month, and the Xero App Store UK lists them at £8, £18 and £40. It sends no reminders and has no chasing workflow, and it connects to Xero only. See [Statey pricing and alternatives](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/statey-pricing-alternatives).

**ezyCollect: best for a customer payment portal on an ERP, last published at A$275 a month plus a setup fee, now hidden: request a quote.** ezyCollect runs email and SMS reminders, a pay-now portal, promise-to-pay tracking and credit applications with business credit scores. It connects to Xero, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, MYOB and SAP Business One. Sidetrade completed its purchase of ezyCollect on 27 October 2025. See [ezyCollect pricing and alternatives](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/ezycollect-pricing-alternatives).

**Lunos.ai: best for AI agents that chase and handle disputes, at 0.3% of collections or $15,000 a year flat.** Lunos.ai follows up by email and phone, manages disputes and applies cash, and connects to Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite and Stripe. Its prices are in US dollars, and it publishes no UK pricing.

**Access Collect: best for businesses already on Access Financials or Dimensions, from £3,600 a year, Access's published GBP price, with unlimited users.** Access Collect runs only inside The Access Group's own ledger. Professional, at £6,600 a year, covers £10m to £30m revenue.

**Sidetrade, HighRadius and Esker: best for enterprises on SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Dynamics, with prices quoted on request.** None of the three lists a Xero or QuickBooks Online connector. Sidetrade also owns ezyCollect, which connects to Xero.

## How do credit control apps use AI?

AI saves the most time when it reads customer replies and acts on them. Ask every vendor to show you AI on a real reply in a demo.

- **Reading replies:** "paid yesterday", "wrong contact" and "we dispute this" each need a different next step. A tool that reads the reply and pauses, updates or flags the invoice saves the most time.
- **Writing reminders:** wording that names the actual invoice gets read more than the same template every seven days.
- **Spotting slower payers:** a customer who paid in 20 days and now takes 45 needs attention before the debt goes bad.

Paidnice reads replies with AI and drafts the response, with your approval before it sends. Chaser drafts emails and predicts late payment. Kolleno runs an agent that collects and reconciles. Upflow detects promises to pay. Lunos.ai runs AI agents that follow up by email and phone and manage disputes.

Be careful with any tool that sends AI replies with no review from the first day. What Paidnice's agent does with five common replies is in [what an accounts receivable AI agent does](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/accounts-receivable-ai-agent).

## How does Paidnice charge late fees and statutory interest on the ledger?

Paidnice runs two optional charge types on the same customer group: an Invoice Late Fee per overdue invoice, and a Statement Interest Charge per customer against the whole overdue balance.

Policies sit under customer groups, so several run at once. One group can charge Bank of England base rate plus a percentage, another a flat fee, another nothing. Compounding is on by default, through the "Include previous interest charges" toggle, so simple interest is the deliberate choice.

The Paidnice base rate toggle applies the correct base rate for each six-month block an invoice spans. The £40, £70 and £100 fixed compensation posts as its own line item, set out in the [UK late payment fees guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/late-payment-fees-uk).

**Statement interest recalculates at the moment the statement is sent**, so the figure the customer opens is accurate that morning. Adjust for Credit calculates on the net balance when the customer holds credit.

**The fee posts as a real invoice** in Xero or QuickBooks Online, Draft or Approved. A fee posted as an invoice enters the customer's AP system, their aged payables and their payment run. The posted fee is a receivable with a tax treatment and an income account, and can be netted against a credit note.

Neither ledger charges the interest for you. The request has sat on the [Xero ideas board since 29 March 2012](https://productideas.xero.com/forums/967115-invoices-quotes/suggestions/44960305-sales-invoices-add-interest-to-late-invoices-in) with 1,114 votes and the status Accepted, and Xero's response of 7 July 2025, from Community Manager Kelly Munro, states there are no committed plans.

What you are entitled to charge is set out in [how much you can charge for late fees](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/how-much-can-i-charge-for-late-fees). Where a late fee belongs in a reminder sequence is covered in Paidnice's [dunning process](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/dunning-process) guide.

## What are the limitations of each credit control app?

Paidnice runs bureau credit checks on Custom only and reads no bank file, Chaser runs one global late fee rule, Kolleno charges per seat with seat minimums, and Upflow has no payment plans.

**The limitation, Paidnice.** Essentials and Pro have no bureau credit check; they run native credit checks from payment behavior, and Creditsafe bureau checks are on Custom. Paidnice does no bank-file cash application. NetSuite, Sage Intacct, MYOB and Dynamics 365 Business Central sit on Custom, from £749 / $999.

**The limitation, Chaser.** Late fees run under one global rule for the whole account. It cannot vary by schedule or customer group, and applies no fee to payment-plan or partially paid invoices. Statements are monthly on a fixed day with recipients and senders you cannot change, and there is no bank-file matching. A demo comes before purchase.

**The limitation, Kolleno.** Per-user pricing with seat minimums sets a high entry cost for a small team: $650 a seat on BusinessPay, and $2,490 a month for the two-seat minimum on Business Plus. No late fee or interest feature is published, and no trial is published either. The tutorial depth is NetSuite-first, and Xero and QuickBooks coverage is thin.

**The limitation, Upflow.** No payment plans: customers can pay a partial amount or log a promise to pay. Upflow late fees exist through your ERP only, with no native computation. Automatic actions fire once a day on business days at one org-level time, and the free plan covers AR visibility only and is not a trial.

## What do the reviews say about each credit control app?

Chaser is the most reviewed of the credit control apps, at 4.98 from 374 reviews on the Xero App Store, and Kolleno, Upflow and Paidnice each hold 5.0 there, from 18, one and 83 reviews.

| App | Xero App Store | Capterra |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Paidnice | [5.0 from 83 reviews](https://apps.xero.com/us/app/paidnice/reviews) | 4.9 from 14 reviews |
| Chaser | 4.98 from 374 reviews | 4.9 from 45 reviews |
| Kolleno | 5.0 from 18 reviews | 5.0 from 8 reviews |
| Upflow | 5.0 from 1 review | 4.5 from 15 reviews |

Scores from different review platforms are not comparable, so each credit control app is shown per platform.

The other tools on this page are rated on the platform where they have the most reviews.

| App | Rating | What reviewers say |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Satago | [4.9 from 92 reviews, Xero App Store UK](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/satago) | Credit control results show early. One two-star review gave up on spot invoicing. |
| ezyCollect | [4.9 from 35 reviews, Xero App Store UK](https://apps.xero.com/uk/industry/professional-services/app/ezycollect) | Automation saves time; one reviewer says hundreds of hours a year. |
| Statey | [4.8 from 19 reviews, Xero App Store UK](https://apps.xero.com/uk/app/statey) | Simple to set up, then it runs without attention. |
| Credit Hound | [5.0 from 12 reviews, Sage UK Marketplace](https://uk-marketplace.sage.com/en-GB/apps/60334/credit-hound) | Automatic Sage sync makes chasing easier. |
| Lunos.ai | No reviews on G2, Capterra or the Xero App Store | Too few reviews to judge. |

## Which credit control software has a free trial?

Chaser publishes a 10-day trial and still requires a demo before you can buy. Kolleno publishes no trial. Upflow's free tier is sales-gated. Paidnice has a free action period: the first 20 actions are free, with no time limit and no card.

**Chaser** offers a 10-day trial and requires a demo before purchase; payment plans are not available on the Chaser trial.

**Kolleno** publishes no trial and is quote-led, with onboarding bundled into the plan.

**Upflow** has a free plan for AR visibility with no collection automation; the Upflow free plan is not a trial and needs a sales call first.

**Statey** offers a 32-day trial with no card. **Credit Hound** and **ezyCollect** offer free trials but do not publish the length. **Satago** publishes no trial. **Lunos.ai** has a free start with no published length.

**Paidnice** has no free trial and no clock. Paidnice sign-up is free, the first 20 actions are free, there is no time limit and no credit card, and no demo is needed to buy.

NetSuite or SAPKolleno fits. Remittance parsing, BAI2, NACHA and ISO 20022 matching and NetSuite journal entries are the reasons to pick it. Auto-reconciliation starts on Business Plus, which needs two seats, so budget $2,490 a month.

## Frequently asked questions

Seven questions buyers ask when they hold a shortlist of credit control tools, from the basic toolset to switching tools.

### Is credit control software worth it for a small business?

Usually, if late payments cost you time or cash. In our data, businesses that run reminders and late fees together have a DSO of about 27 days, against about 39 days with no automation switched on. A tool at £49 a month pays for itself when a few invoices arrive a week sooner. If you have a few reliable customers and rarely chase, Xero's free reminders can be enough. See [credit control software vs a spreadsheet](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-vs-excel).

### Do I need credit control software if I already use Xero's invoice reminders?

Not always. Xero allows up to five reminders, on one schedule shared by every customer, and it does not charge late fees or interest. You outgrow it when you need different schedules for different customers, reminders from your own domain, statements, or late fees. See [different Xero invoice reminders for different customers](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/different-xero-invoice-reminders-for-different-customers).

### Can credit control software charge late fees and statutory interest automatically?

Some tools can. UK businesses can charge statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate on overdue B2B invoices, plus fixed compensation of £40, £70 or £100 by invoice value. Chaser applies one global rule for the whole account. Paidnice sets a policy per customer group and posts the fee as an invoice in Xero or QuickBooks Online. See the [UK late payment fees guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/late-payment-fees-uk).

### How do you switch credit control software without chasing customers twice?

Export your templates and your list of excluded customers from the old tool first. Turn its sequences off before the new tool goes live, so only one tool chases at a time. Run the first cycle in the new tool with approval on every email. See [how to implement automated credit control](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/implement-automated-credit-control).

### What is the difference between credit control software and a debt collection agency?

Credit control software chases invoices so they get paid on time, for a fixed monthly cost, run by you. A debt collection agency recovers a debt after chasing has failed, usually for a share of what it recovers. Good credit control means you need an agency less often. See [credit control software vs a debt collection agency](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-vs-debt-collection-agency).

### What is credit control?

Credit control is the work of deciding how much credit to give a customer and then collecting what they owe on time: setting terms, checking new customers, chasing overdue invoices, escalating them and charging for lateness where the terms allow it. Credit control software automates the chasing, escalation and charging steps against the invoices in your ledger.

### What is the best debt collection software?

Debt collection is a separate category from credit control, and none of these credit control apps is a collections agency. Chaser routes escalated debt to a partner agency on a success fee. Kolleno, Upflow and Paidnice stop at the point where you would instruct a collector. Credit control software works before that point, and a collections agency after it.

Read the transcript: Credit control software compared: price, features, ratings

Credit control software compared, Paidnice, Chaser, Kolleno, and Upflow on pricing, features, and ratings. Start with price. Kolleno advertises $650 a month.

That is per user, and auto reconciliation needs its business plus plan. Two seats at $1,245 open only above $10 million turnover. So, it starts at $2,490 a month.

Each of these tools prices a different way. By the end, you will know which one fits your business. Here is what we cover.

The eligibility measures, revenue, turnover, and gross invoice value, and the seat minimums that multiply the price. The core features credit control software needs. How these tools compare on those features with pricing and ratings.

At the end, you get a one-line test that tells you which of these tools you can buy before you book a demo. An eligibility limit decides whether you see a price at all, and the tools in this comparison set it by company revenue, turnover, or gross invoice value. Revenue is what the company bills in a year.

Turnover is the same figure under another name. Gross invoice value is the total of the invoices you raise. Sit under the line, and you cannot buy the plan.

Sit over it, and you pay for the next one. Chaser fixes the plan you can buy by your annual revenue. £199 a month up to £4 million, £599 up to £10 million, £899 up to £100 million ex VAT. Cross £4 million, and the £199 plan is gone.

Four users are included. £10 for each extra unlimited from the middle plan. Kolleno gates by turnover and multiplies by seats, so the seat minimum sets the Business pay is $650 per user, one seat above $1 million. Business plus is two seats at $1,245 each above $10 million.

That's $2,490 from the start. Upflow bands by the gross value of the invoices you raise from starter up to $10 million to accelerate up to $100 million. Grow is $440 up to $25 million and scale is $880 up to $50 million.

Those are its last published prices and it now quotes by invoice value. Unlimited seats on every tier. Paidnice prices by invoice volume, not revenue.

So, the plan follows the invoices you send rather than the size of your business. Essentials is 150 invoices, $69 or £49 a month, two team members. Pro 4000 is $799 or £599.

Custom from $999 or £749. Count last month's sales invoices and read the plan off that number. No per seat fee on any plan.

Any credit control software needs these core features. Reminders, statements, escalation workflows, reporting, credit checks, multi-entity, late fees and interest, and bank file cash application. Reminders, scheduled chasing of overdue invoices by email or SMS with nobody sending each one manually. Statements, a recurring summary of everything a customer owes sent on a schedule. Escalation workflows, rules that change who chases or how as an invoice ages.

Reporting, where the money is stuck as DSO, aging and at risk balances. Credit checks, screening a customer's creditworthiness before you extend credit. Multi-entity, the same policies across more than one company from a single Late fees and interest, charging a customer for paying late at a rate the software applies for you. Bank file cash application, matching incoming bank payments to the right invoice from a bank file with no one reconciling manually.

Every vendor here publishes some form of reminders and reporting. And the field splits on late fees, bank file cash application, credit checks, and Reminders and reporting, every vendor. Statements and escalation, every vendor that publishes them.

Late fees and interest, Paidnice computes them per customer group and posts them to the ledger. Chaser runs one global rule. Kolleno publishes no evidence.

Upflow runs them through your ERP only. Bank file cash application, Kolleno reads BAI2, NACHA, and ISO 20022 files. Upflow auto matches.

Chaser marks invoices paid with no bank file. And Paidnice does not do it. Credit checks, Chaser through CreditSafe, Kolleno through bureau integrations, Upflow scoring only.

Paidnice runs no external bureau credit check. And instead rates payers internally from their own payment history. Multi-entity, Paidnice at $29 or £19 per extra entity. Chaser from its £599 plan.

Kolleno and Upflow published no Pricing, Paidnice from $69 or £49 a month with no per seat fee. Ratings, each on its own platform. Paidnice 5.0 from 83 reviews on the Xero app store.

Chaser 4.98 from 374 on the Xero app store. Kolleno 4.9 from 99 on G2. Upflow 4.8 from 233 on G2.

Here is the one-line test from the start. Write down annual revenue, sales invoices raised last month, and the people who will chase. Your revenue sets your plan with most of these tools.

The invoice count and the user account price Paidnice. The full comparison table is on the Paidnice.com blog.
