## Summary

Statey costs $10, $25 or $50 per Xero organisation a month for automated statements only, with unlimited users on every tier. It does not send reminders, charge late fees, take payments or run a customer portal. Xero statements are free if you send them manually; full credit control apps start around $69 a month (£49).

- **Paidnice:** Best for any business up to $50m a year that wants automated statements, reminders and optional late fees together, from $69 a month (£49), priced by invoice volume.
- **Xero built-in statements:** Best for a business that can send a handful of statements manually each month, free inside Xero; the auto-email idea has 1,172 votes and sits In discovery.
- **Chaser:** Best for a larger UK team that wants email, SMS and credit checks, from £199 a month (about $259).
- **Satago:** Best for a UK business that wants chasing and credit checks in one bill, from £45 a month (about $59).

This page covers Statey at statey.app, the Xero customer statements app run from the USA and South Africa. It is not the unrelated database product at statey.ai, and not the Python infrastructure library also named statey; both share the name and nothing else.

## Statey pricing tiers

Statey has three tiers: Starter at $10, Standard at $25 and Pro at $50 per Xero organisation a month. Every tier includes unlimited users and Xero sync. The tiers differ on watermark, Excel, multi-currency, recipient lists, schedules and sending domain.

| Plan | Monthly price (per Xero organisation) | Annual price | What is included | What is gated |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | $10 | $110 a year (about 8% off) | Automated weekly or monthly statement schedule, PDF statements, age analysis with four calculation methods, delivery statistics, Don't Send List, unlimited users, Xero sync | Statements carry a Statey watermark; PDF only; single currency; one schedule |
| Standard | $25 | $275 a year (about 8% off) | Everything in Starter, plus watermark removal, Excel statement download, multi-currency, Smart Recipients List built from Xero contact lists and filters | One schedule; no custom sending domain |
| Pro | $50 | $550 a year (about 8% off) | Everything in Standard, plus multiple statement schedules, a custom sending domain you verify yourself through DNS, and an API with webhooks | Nothing further gated |

Source for every figure: Statey pricing page. Statey publishes monthly and annual prices. Annual billing costs 11 months of the monthly price, about 8% less than paying monthly. The trial is 32 days, no credit card, cancel any time.

## What drives the Statey bill

Statey bills on one number: how many Xero organisations you connect, at $10, $25 or $50 each. Users, contacts and statement volume do not change the price. There are no add-ons, SMS charges or payment fees, because Statey does none of those things.

1. **Pricing unit: the Xero organisation.** Each connected Xero organisation is billed separately at the tier you choose for it. A group with three entities pays three subscriptions.
2. **Users: unlimited on every tier.** There is no per-seat price and no user cap, so headcount never moves the bill.
3. **Tier features, not volume.** The jump from $10 to $25 buys watermark removal, Excel, multi-currency and recipient lists. The jump from $25 to $50 buys multiple schedules and a custom sending domain.
4. **Billing terms: monthly or annual.** Pay monthly and cancel any time, or pay for the year at about 8% less. The trial is 32 days with no card. Statey has been on the Xero App Store since May 2022.
5. **No add-ons.** Statey has no SMS, no payments, no portal and no reminders, so there is nothing to bolt on. If you need those, they come from a second tool, and that second tool's price is the real comparison.
6. **Currency: set by your location.** Statey bills in USD, GBP, ZAR, AUD or NZD, and in USD everywhere else. Starter is $10, £8, R199, AU$15 or NZ$15 a month; the figures on this page are the USD prices.

## What three business sizes pay a year

On annual billing, Statey costs a single-entity business $110 to $550 a year ($120 to $600 if paid monthly). A three-entity group on Pro pays $1,650 a year. Because the unit is the organisation, revenue and invoice count do not appear in the maths.

| Business | Likely tier | Monthly | Annual plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| $2m revenue, one Xero organisation, one currency, happy with a watermark | Starter | 1 x $10 = $10 | $110 |
| $8m revenue, one Xero organisation, needs Excel statements and a clean brand | Standard | 1 x $25 = $25 | $275 |
| $20m revenue, one Xero organisation, wants statements from its own domain | Pro | 1 x $50 = $50 | $550 |
| $20m group, three Xero organisations, all on Pro | Pro x 3 | 3 x $50 = $150 | 3 x $550 = $1,650 |

The multi-entity row is where Statey's unit shows. A group with three Xero organisations pays $1,650 a year for statements on Pro on annual billing. That is a small line item, and it is three times the single-entity cost for the same feature set. It buys no chasing.

Now add what Statey does not do. If the same business also needs automated reminders, a customer portal or late fees, it needs a second subscription. The honest annual figure is Statey plus that tool, which is why the [credit control software pricing guide](https://www.paidnice.com/blog/credit-control-software-pricing) compares the whole stack rather than one line.

## Is Statey worth the price

Statey is worth $10 to $50 a month for a Xero business whose only gap is statements. It automates a schedule, age analysis and delivery tracking. It under-delivers for any team that also needs to chase.

| Statey fits | Statey overpays or under-delivers |
| --- | --- |
| A Xero business that already chases invoices some other way (a credit controller or a separate tool) and wants statements sent on a schedule without anyone remembering. | A finance team buying Statey because the customer is not paying. A statement reports the balance; it does not follow up the invoice, escalate to a director, apply interest or take a card payment. |
| Teams that want control over the statement itself: four age-analysis methods, Excel output and Smart Recipients Lists. | Anyone who needs chasing. Statey's own site says it does not chase, escalate or flag problems, so budget for a second tool on top of the $50 a month. |
| Buyers who value founder-run support. The three developer co-founders handle support themselves, and the Xero App Store listing shows 4.7 from 13 reviews. | Businesses outside Xero, or teams that need live data: Xero only, sync every six hours and PDF-only statements on Starter. |

## How we priced Statey and chose its alternatives

Statey sends statements only, so each of the six alternatives covers more of the collections job. Paidnice comes first, then Xero's free statements, then the rest by entry price. Four criteria carry weights that add up to 100%.

- **Price (30%):** each vendor's own pricing page, read as plain text, for the "Price from" column of the comparison table.
- **Statements (25%):** each vendor's help docs, on whether statements are automated, for the "Statements" column.
- **Late fees (25%):** each vendor's help docs, for the "Late fees" column.
- **Size and ledger fit (20%):** each vendor's integration pages, for the "Size fit" and "Ledger" columns.

Every price in the table is published by its vendor, so none is shown as last reported. Xero's free statements are from Xero Central.

Paidnice is our product. Every entry, Paidnice included, lists its limit. The weights are our editorial judgment.

## Statey pricing and alternatives compared, from free to $650 a user

Six Statey alternatives run from Xero's own free statements to Kolleno at $650 per user a month. In between sit Satago at £45 (about $59), Credit Hound at £51 (about $66) per user, Paidnice at $69 (£49) and Chaser at £199 (about $259). Each covers more of the collections job than Statey; Paidnice comes first, then Xero's free option, then the rest by entry price.

## How Paidnice prices statements and chasing together

Paidnice is priced by invoice volume, not revenue and not users: Essentials is $69 a month (£49) for 150 invoices and two team members. Pro starts at $99 a month (£74) for 300 invoices with unlimited users. Statements are included on every plan.

| Plan | Invoices a month | USD | GBP | Users |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Essentials | 150 | $69 | £49 | Up to 2 |
| Pro 300 | 300 | $99 | £74 | Unlimited |
| Pro 600 | 600 | $179 | £129 | Unlimited |
| Pro 1,000 | 1,000 | $279 | £199 | Unlimited |
| Pro 2,000 | 2,000 | $489 | £349 | Unlimited |
| Multi-entity add-on | Per extra entity | $29 | £19 | Shared |

The unit is the invoice count, so a $1m business raising 120 invoices a month and a $20m business raising 1,000 pay for the work Paidnice does, not for the revenue behind it. Every plan includes automatic statements, email and SMS reminders, escalation workflows and a customer portal. Late fees and interest are optional, switched on per customer group when you want the leverage.

Against the three-entity example above, the Paidnice equivalent is one Pro plan plus two multi-entity add-ons at $29 (£19) each, rather than three separate subscriptions. Pricing is monthly with no contracts and no lock-ins, and the first 20 actions are free with no credit card.

💡 Paidnice insight

The statement is the document a customer's accounts payable team reconciles against, so it earns its place in a chasing sequence. Paidnice recalculates any statement interest at the moment the statement is sent, so the balance the customer opens is correct that morning rather than a figure fixed at the last policy run.

## Statey pricing questions

Statey buyers ask five questions before they pay $10 to $50 a month. Short answers to each, with the alternative to weigh where it matters.

### How much does Statey cost per month?

$10 for Starter, $25 for Standard or $50 for Pro, per Xero organisation, with unlimited users on every tier (Statey pricing page). Paid annually, the tiers cost $110, $275 or $550 a year. There are no add-ons or usage charges.

### Does Statey have a free plan?

No. Statey has a 32-day free trial with no credit card, then the cheapest paid tier is Starter at $10 a month per Xero organisation. You can cancel at any time. Xero's own manual statements are the free option.

### Is Statey priced per user?

No. Statey is priced per connected Xero organisation, and users are unlimited on every tier. A team of ten pays the same as a sole bookkeeper for the same organisation.

### What currency is Statey priced in?

Your local currency, set from your location. Statey bills in USD, GBP, ZAR, AUD or NZD, and in USD everywhere else: Starter is $10, £8, R199, AU$15 or NZ$15 a month (Statey pricing page). The price at checkout is the price charged.

### Does Statey send payment reminders as well as statements?

No. Statey sends scheduled customer statements with age analysis and delivery tracking. It does not send invoice reminders, apply late fees, take payments or provide a customer portal, so a team that needs to chase pays for a second tool, from $69 a month (£49) for Paidnice.
