Paidnice adds it, can email the customer a pay link at the new total, and removes it on time. ### A discount on every new invoice Choose a percentage or a fixed amount. Paidnice adds it as a line on new invoices in Xero or QuickBooks, with the expiry date in the description. ### Removed when it expires If the customer has not paid by the expiry date, the discount line comes off and the invoice goes back to its full total. How do you calculate a prompt payment discount? Multiply the invoice total by the discount rate. A 2% discount on a $2,480.00 invoice is $49.60, so the customer pays $2,430.40. A common term is “2/10 net 30”: 2% off if paid within 10 days, with the full amount due in 30. What happens when the discount expires?
