The "Coachella" of accounting is back, and so are we

Paidnice is exhibiting at Xerocon London on 8 and 9 July 2026 at Olympia London (stand G10), arriving as a double winner in the Xero Global App Awards 2025 (Global Small Business App of the Year and Australia Small Business App of the Year) and asking the businesses we have helped to nominate Paidnice for the 2026 People's Choice Award.

Over the years Xerocon has earned a nickname: the Coachella of accounting. The Xero events team puts on such a show that it gets measured against the other great spectacle in the desert, the real Coachella, and somehow makes two days actually engaging and fun for accountants and bookkeepers, a profession whose events are usually the opposite. It is back in London this year, and so are we.

The award we want this year

Last year's awards were decided by a panel of judges. The People's Choice Award is different. It is decided by the people who actually use the software: the customers, advisers, accountants, and bookkeepers who open Paidnice to see whose invoice is now overdue.

In 2025 the People's Choice Award went to Mayday, who earned it. Coming back in 2026, the customer-decided award is the one we care about, because it is the most honest measure of whether the software has made accounts receivable less awkward for the businesses it is meant to serve.

What the 2025 win meant to us

We are a small, distributed team across New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands, with the office in Auckland. From Ashley on product to Jack answering most of the support inbox, the judged awards were a real vote of confidence in the work.

The People's Choice Award sits differently. It is voted by the Xero community, the people who open Paidnice every day. That is the recognition we would most like to earn this year.
