Statey pricing and alternatives for Xero statements in 2026

Contents

Statey pricing and alternatives: Statey costs $10, $25 or $50 per Xero organisation a month for automated statements, unlimited users on every tier. Xero sends statements by hand for free; full credit control apps start around $69 a month (£49).

Key takeaways

  • Three tiers: Starter $10, Standard $25 and Pro $50 per Xero organisation a month (Statey pricing page). Users are unlimited on every tier.
  • Statey does statements only: schedules, age analysis, recipient filters and delivery stats. It does not send reminders, charge late fees, take payments or run a customer portal.
  • Annual cost is $120, $300 or $600 for one organisation, or $1,800 for three organisations on Pro.
  • Xero itself sends activity and outstanding statements by hand from Contacts, free, with no schedule. Its automatic-statements idea has 1,169 votes and sits "In discovery".
  • Six alternatives run from free (Xero) through £45 (Satago) and $69 (Paidnice) to $650 per user (Kolleno).

This page covers Statey at statey.app, the Xero customer statements app from Wellington, New Zealand. It is not the unrelated database product at statey.ai, which shares the name and nothing else.

Statey pricing tiers

Statey has three tiers: Starter at $10, Standard at $25 and Pro at $50 per Xero organisation a month. Every tier includes unlimited users and Xero sync. The tiers differ on watermark, Excel, multi-currency, recipient lists, schedules and sending domain.

Source for every figure: Statey pricing page. Statey publishes monthly prices only; the annual figures above are the monthly price multiplied by twelve, with no annual discount published. The trial is 32 days, no credit card, cancel any time. Prices checked September 2026; confirm current pricing with the vendor.

What drives the Statey bill

Statey bills on one number: how many Xero organisations you connect, at $10, $25 or $50 each. Users, contacts and statement volume do not change the price. There are no add-ons, SMS charges or payment fees, because Statey does none of those things.

  1. Pricing unit: the Xero organisation. Each connected Xero organisation is billed separately at the tier you choose for it. A group with three entities pays three subscriptions.
  2. Users: unlimited on every tier. There is no per-seat price and no user cap, so headcount never moves the bill.
  3. Tier features, not volume. The jump from $10 to $25 buys watermark removal, Excel, multi-currency and recipient lists. The jump from $25 to $50 buys multiple schedules and a custom sending domain.
  4. Contract terms: none stated. Month to month, cancel any time, 32-day trial with no card. Statey has been on the Xero App Store since May 2022.
  5. No add-ons. Statey has no SMS, no payments, no portal and no reminders, so there is nothing to bolt on. If you need those, they come from a second tool, and that second tool's price is the real comparison.
  6. Currency: not printed. The pricing page shows the figures with no currency label. Statey is a New Zealand company, so confirm which currency your card will be charged in before you compare against a tool that bills in your own.

Worked annual cost at three sizes

Statey costs a single-entity business $120 to $600 a year. A three-entity group on Pro pays $1,800. Because the unit is the organisation, revenue and invoice count do not appear in the maths.

BusinessLikely tierMonthlyAnnual (x 12)
$2m revenue, one Xero organisation, one currency, happy with a watermarkStarter1 x $10 = $10$10 x 12 = $120
$8m revenue, one Xero organisation, needs Excel statements and a clean brandStandard1 x $25 = $25$25 x 12 = $300
$20m revenue, one Xero organisation, wants statements from its own domainPro1 x $50 = $50$50 x 12 = $600
$20m group, three Xero organisations, all on ProPro x 33 x $50 = $150$150 x 12 = $1,800

The multi-entity row is where Statey's unit shows. A group with three Xero organisations pays $1,800 a year for statements on Pro. That is a small line item, and it is three times the single-entity cost for the same feature set. It buys no chasing.

Now add what Statey does not do. If the same business also needs automated reminders, a customer portal or late fees, it needs a second subscription. The honest annual figure is Statey plus that tool, which is why the credit control software pricing guide compares the whole stack rather than one line.

Is Statey worth the price

Statey is worth $10 to $50 a month for a Xero business whose only gap is statements. It automates a schedule, age analysis and delivery tracking. It under-delivers for any team that also needs to chase.

A statement reports the balance; it does not follow up the invoice, escalate to a director, apply interest or take a card payment.
Teams that want control over the statement itself: four age-analysis methods, Excel output and Smart Recipients Lists.Anyone who needs chasing. Statey's own site says it does not chase, escalate or flag problems, so budget for a second tool on top of the $50 a month.
Buyers who value founder-run support. The three developer co-founders handle support themselves, and the Xero App Store listing shows 4.6 from 10 reviews, 90% five-star and 10% one-star.Businesses outside Xero, or teams that need live data: Xero only, sync every six hours, PDF-only statements on Starter, and the Pro custom domain is set up through support rather than self-service.

Statey pricing and alternatives compared, from free to $650 a user

Six Statey alternatives run from Xero's own free statements to Kolleno at $650 per user a month. In between sit Satago at £45 (about $59), Credit Hound at £51 (about $66) per user, Paidnice at $69 (£49) and Chaser at £199 (about $259). Each covers more of the collections job than Statey; the order below is by entry price.

Xero built-in customer statements: best for a business that sends a handful of statements by hand

  • Fits: any Xero business that can send statements manually each month.
  • Entry cost: free inside a Xero subscription (Xero Central, Send a customer statement).
  • Pricing unit: none; part of the Xero plan.
  • Runs on: Xero only.
  • Late fees and interest: no.
  • The one thing it does best: two statement types, activity and outstanding, sent to one contact or to several ticked in one batch from Contacts, then Customers, then Send statements, by email or as a printed PDF with a branding theme.
  • Limitation: no schedule and no automatic send. Every statement run is started by a person.

Xero's own product ideas board carries the request for automatic statements. Its current position is discovery, with no committed date.

Chaser: best for a larger UK team that wants email, SMS and credit checks

How Paidnice prices statements and chasing together

Paidnice is priced by invoice volume, not revenue and not users: Essentials is $69 a month (£49) for 150 invoices and two team members. Pro starts at $99 a month (£74) for 300 invoices with unlimited users. Statements are included on every plan.

PlanInvoices a monthUSDGBPUsers
Essentials150$69£49Up to 2
Pro 300300$99£74Unlimited
Pro 600600$179£129Unlimited
Pro 1,0001,000$279£199Unlimited
Pro 2,0002,000$489£349Unlimited
Multi-entity add-onPer extra entity$29£19Shared

The unit is the invoice count, so a $1m business raising 120 invoices a month and a $20m business raising 1,000 pay for the work Paidnice does, not for the revenue behind it. Every plan includes automatic statements, email and SMS reminders, escalation workflows and a customer portal. Late fees and interest are optional, switched on per customer group when you want the leverage.

Against the three-entity example above, the Paidnice equivalent is one Pro plan plus two multi-entity add-ons at $29 (£19) each, rather than three separate subscriptions. Pricing is monthly with no contracts and no lock-ins, and the first 20 actions are free with no credit card.

💡 Paidnice insight

The statement is the document a customer's accounts payable team reconciles against, so it earns its place in a chasing sequence. Paidnice recalculates any statement interest at the moment the statement is sent, so the balance the customer opens is correct that morning rather than a figure fixed at the last policy run.

Statey pricing questions

Statey buyers ask five questions before they pay $10 to $50 a month. Short answers to each, with the alternative to weigh where it matters.

How much does Statey cost per month?

$10 for Starter, $25 for Standard or $50 for Pro, per Xero organisation, with unlimited users on every tier (Statey pricing page). There are no add-ons or usage charges.

Does Statey have a free plan?

No. Statey has a 32-day free trial with no credit card, then the cheapest paid tier is Starter at $10 a month per Xero organisation. You can cancel at any time. Xero's own manual statements are the free option.

Is Statey priced per user?

No. Statey is priced per connected Xero organisation, and users are unlimited on every tier. A team of ten pays the same as a sole bookkeeper for the same organisation.

What currency is Statey priced in?

Statey's pricing page prints $10, $25 and $50 without a currency label. The company is based in New Zealand. Confirm the billing currency with Statey before comparing it with a tool that charges in your local currency.

Does Statey send payment reminders as well as statements?

No. Statey sends scheduled customer statements with age analysis and delivery tracking. It does not send invoice reminders, apply late fees, take payments or provide a customer portal, so a team that needs to chase pays for a second tool, from $69 a month (£49) for Paidnice.
